“Women Fashion Power” Exhibition, London
As I mentioned in the last post I went to see one of the exhibitions called “Women Fashion Power” in London. I have spent quite long time there with a friend of mine and to be honest it was very interesting. The exhibition started with a section about Powerful women who made a big impact on the fashion world . The exhibition also teaches about how fashion has changed over the years! From corsets to a shirt waist. What were the riding and swimming fashion habits from 1900 to 1905. I especially enjoyed the early Vogue magazines from 1935. Quite a few issues back in 1940 were about the newly invented Nylon. Did you know that in 1940 there were lessons on how to put on nylon stockings? After that and much more we have moved on to the section with closes of our times – Lady Gaga’s dress form 2008 and Skin’s (musician) jacket from 2011. I would like to share some photos that you may find interesting! The lighting at the exhibition was very bad which is why the photographs are not as good as I wanted them to be. Enjoy!
