Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear

When : Saturday 16 April 2016 – Sunday 12 March 2017,
Where : Victoria and Albert Museum (Cromwell Road, London, SW7 2RL)

The exhibition explores the history of men’s and women’s underwear designs from the 18th-century to the present day. You will be able to find over 200 different pieces and discover their history and making process. Some of them are hand made by women at home and some are designed by designers such a Stella McCartney, Rigby & Peller or Paul Smith. Come and explore relationship between underwear and fashion!

The Vulgar – Fashion Redefined

When: 13 October 2016 – 5 February 2017
Where : Barbican Art Gallery ( Silk Street London EC2Y 8DS )

“Potent, provocative and sometimes shocking, the word vulgar conjures up strong images, ideas and feelings in us all. The Vulgar is the first exhibition to explore the inherently challenging but utterly compelling territory of taste in fashion, from the renaissance through to contemporary design.” The exhibition lets you explore over 120 different pieces starting from historical costumes and ending on contemporary designs (Christian Lacroix, Lanvin, Moschino, Miuccia Prada, Agent Provocateur, Elsa Schiaparelli, Philip Treacy).  International Fashion Showcase

When : 17 – 21 February 2017
Where : Somerset House Trust ( London WC2R 1LA)

Explore amazing designs made by emerging international designers from 28 countries. The exhibition’s theme is Local/Global and will take part during London’s Fashion Week this year. It will answer the questions like what gives the shape to the fashion? or “how emerging designers can transform their local culture into a global language”. Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion

The exhibition lets you explore over 100 clothing pieces and 20 hat designs from Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga, one of the most innovative and influential designers of the 20th century.

House Style: Five Centuries of Fashion at Chatsworth House

Experience fashion and style at the Chatsworth House. This amazing Cavendish family fashion exhibition is sponsored by Gucci and a few supporting sponsors. You will be able o see everything from fashion and jewellery, art, archival material, design to textiles.
